A day out to Howth Farmer’s Market

A day out to Howth Farmer’s Market

Below the hilly headland at the northern boundary of Dublin Bay lies the small fishing village of Howth – home of  Octopussys Dublin’s best Seafood Tapas Restaurant.

Howth is a village with much to see and do – an angler’s dream; cod and ray are commonly caught here as fishing trawlers weave in and out of the harbour. All the while, restaurants such as Octopussys along the seafront serve up the catch of the day to many hungry hikers fresh off the Howth Head walk…

Another major attraction to Howth is the Howth Farmer’s Market. If you are a lover of organic produce – why not come along and view the mouth watering produce on show? The market was established 9 years ago and has grown substantially over these years. Following a major revamp in summer 2013, the market has become a permanent fixture standing proud along the seafront of Howth. Welcoming both locals and tourists alike, Howth Market is a fantastic day out and offers a unique experience with a vast array of organic produce, freshly baked goods, jewellery, clothing, antiques and much more on offer. The market itself is open every Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday from 10am to 6pm whilst the front five units serve the public 7 days a week.
