Octopussy is a small but delightful and very friendly spot for lunch on the West Pier in Howth. Everything is cooked to order right in front of you and comes out perfectly. There is also a short but nicely chosen wine list to complement the menu whether you are of the red or white persuasion.

I can’t wait to go back in the summer and sit outside and enjoy more of their tasty tapas treats!

Took a day trip on the light rail from Dublin. This small dockside restaurant is a gem! I love raw oysters and by far the oysters were the best I ever had. Ordered the shell fish platter for 1 and a huge bowl of seafood chowder. The platter included cooked prawns, logastinos, crab claws and a bowl of mussels in a light cream broth. This was more than enough food for my wife and I to share! The seafood tasted like it was caught just hours before we arrived. The restaurant is small but has a nice seaside feel. You wont be disappointed if you like fresh seafood! There are a few tables outside weather permitting. Good prices as well! Take a trip to Howth and try Octopussys Seafood and Tapas Bar!

Octopussys, situated right in the middle of the harbour, may be small and quirky but the food was simple and delicious. Having read the reviews I booked ahead for the Friday evening to be sure and get a table. Everything on the menu read well and it was hard to decide …., the food did not disappoint……it was amazing! If you want something really nice to eat in very informal surroundings this is the spot!
